The market in King County rebounded well from the back-to-back holiday weeks with active inventory up slightly and a significant rise in inventory that went pending while sales decreased. Despite the seasonality and the much larger market conditions that exist today, this was still a more considerable week-over-week growth in pendings than this time last year indicating buyers are eager to move into the new year. The market continues to be abnormal given traditional seasonality. Actives and sold listings are down while pending listings are up from the week prior. This same week last year pending listings were down 15% in King County. The days on market has risen slightly following rises in the median active price and sold price indicating sellers confidence in the market and desire to fetch top dollar while waiting for it.
